Your website is your business’s online storefront and it needs to convert visitors into sales. As content and marketing experts, we take the time to understand your business and learn your industry before the project begins to ensure your site has a good strategy from the start. We always tackle website design with a content-first approach.
Because there are so many variables in any website design project, it’s hard to say exactly how much your website will cost until we’ve had a conversation about what your business needs.
When you us to develop your website, you’re paying for our expertise in design, copy writing, coding, research, planning, project management, and advertising and marketing strategy – and the time it takes to bring it all together.
Independent freelancers may charge less than we do, and larger marketing firms with more staff and overhead will cost more. As a small business run by highly-skilled practitioners, our website pricing is middle-of-the-road.
When we make websites, we take the time needed to include you in the process. Your feedback and participation are integral to the project’s success, every step of the way. This is a guide for each of the steps involved.
During our first meeting, we ask all the questions we need to get started in our research for your project. We’ll usually deliver a proposal within a week.Book a meeting
We do a deep dive on researching your business and your industry and meet in person to discuss your goals. The discussion will help us develop a scope of work document and content wireframe, and inform content development and search engine optimization. Time is included for one round of revisions on the scope of work document.
Our content-first approach means we nail down the content before we start designing. Using the research from the Discovery phase, Ashleigh will write search engine optimized content for the website. Time is included for three rounds of revisions.
Using the content as our guide, the First Look document outlines our design decisions and direction. This design can be used for the basis of the rest of the website as it’s built out. Major changes may happen at this point, which is a normal part of the creative process. Time is included for three rounds of revisions.
We set up our development operations workspace, install the content, create the pages, make the site responsive, and put the website on a server. All of our websites are responsive to any screen size, and we iterate on the design as it moves from a static screen to active pages. You get a live link to a working version of the website as it’s being developed.
We get the site live and make sure it’s running smoothly before promoting another successful web development project! Most of our clients sign up for our full website care plans but we still believe you should understand how your site works. We’ll show you the ins and outs.
All of our websites include copywriting and editing.
When determining your budget for a website, you should also consider your return on investment. How many new clients will it take to pay for the website? Will one new client cover the cost, or will it take several conversions over many months? We can help you calculate the ROI.
We also offer full website care plans, including off-site backups, hosting, support, updates, security, and more.
